At Reel Quote AI, we understand the importance of privacy. That's why we are committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring that it is used only for the purpose of providing you with the best possible service experience. We use third-party banking services to verify payment, and we collect data to share with service providers only for the purpose of facilitating your job. We will never sell or share your personal information with any third party without your consent.
We receive, collect, and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information, and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment information, which is processed securely by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers, comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.
We collect video submitted for quoting. This video is processed using automated systems, including third-party artificial intelligence, to generate an item inventory and estimate cube (volume) and weight for your job. The video is shared with the providers quoting the job, and the AI-generated inventory and estimates are shared with providers and used to prepare your quote.
That artificial-intelligence service processes your video on our behalf under contract and does not use it to train its own models. This processing may take place outside Canada.
We retain video for one year after your job is completed or cancelled, and then it is deleted. Deletion is automatic.
We keep what we learn from your move to improve our estimates. The inventory generated from your video, the estimate we prepared, and the outcome of the move as reported to us are kept after the video itself is deleted — without the video — and used to make future inventories and estimates more accurate. We may also use this information in aggregated form that does not identify you.
Please do not film other people without their agreement. A walkthrough of your home can capture family members, housemates, visitors and children who are not part of your transaction with us. You can also simply describe anything you would rather not film — say it out loud during the walkthrough and it will be counted without appearing on camera.
Our website is served by a third-party hosting and content-delivery provider, and our customer application runs on a third-party application platform. Your data may be stored in those providers' services and databases, on secure servers behind a firewall.
Some of your information is stored or processed outside Canada. This includes video and the inventory generated from it, information held by our payment provider, and data handled by our hosting and application providers. Where information is held outside Canada it is subject to the laws of the country it is in, and may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country. We use contractual protections with these providers, but we cannot exclude the operation of foreign law.
If you would prefer your information not to be transferred outside Canada, we will not be able to provide the service, because the processing described above is how quotes are produced.
All direct payment gateways we use, provided through our application platform and our payment processor, adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us, such as your name, address, and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.
We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it: we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects information about your visit, and a privacy-preserving analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track individuals.
We also measure our advertising. Our website uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) and similar advertising measurement tools, which set cookies and tell us — and the advertising platform — when a visit or an action on our site followed one of our ads or social posts. The platform may use this information as described in its own privacy policy, including to show you our ads. We also set a first-party cookie of our own that records how you first arrived at our site (for example, a search ad or a social profile link) so that if you later contact us or create an account, we know which of our marketing brought you. This cookie is ours alone and is not shared with advertising platforms, except that identifiers from an ad click (such as a click ID) may be reported back to the platform the ad ran on to measure that ad's results.
We also offer a live chat service on our website, provided by a third party. If you start a conversation, the messages you send and the contact details you choose to give are handled by that provider on our behalf. Do not send payment card details or passwords through chat.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Refusing analytics or advertising cookies does not prevent you from using the site or getting a quote.
We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes, we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.
If you don't want us to process your data anymore, please contact us at info@reelquoteai.com or send us mail to: 46 Nelson Street, Oakville, Ont, Canada L6L 3H6
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
If you would like to: access, correct, amend, or delete any personal information we have about you, you are invited to contact us at info@reelquoteai.com or mail to: 46 Nelson Street, Oakville, Ont, Canada L6L 3H6
